For its 8th edition, the Smart Energy Day will explore the Dutch energy landscape. Following the focus on Austria in 2017, this year’s conference will look at the way in which the Netherlands manages its (renewable) energy supplies.
Another major part of the conference will concentrate on prosumption, one of the new elements introduced by the Swiss Confederation’s Energy Strategy 2050. Real-life examples from Switzerland and elsewhere will provide detailed illustrations of prosumption and give some pointers as to the likely development of a trend that is certain to grow over the next few years.A round table discussion will deal with the thorny question of the liberalisation of the electricity market in Switzerland. Finally, Michael Liebreich, of Bloomberg New Energy Finance, will spotlight some of the coming technological and economic trends in the energy sector.However, the Smart Energy Day is also a unique opportunity to dialogue with the 200 or so energy specialists who will be attending.
